Reiki promotes stress reduction and relaxation that promotes physical healing. Through the process of balancing energy and opening the flow of energy in the body, people experience deep calm, reduction of pain and for some, spiritual wellness.

Reiki gently encourages a person’s own unique energy to reach its balance. Physical and emotional trauma, the wear and tear of ordinary life, these cause our systems to become imbalanced over time. Reiki helps restore the body’s natural state of balance so it can operate more optimally. It has been shown that stress is a significant contributor to illness. One of the most powerful aspects of Reiki is its ability to reduce stress.

We begin with a brief time of introductions and sharing followed by a Healing Attunement given by Julie Roberts-Fronk, Reiki master. The rest of the time is spent in the practice of Reiki, giving and receiving for those who are interested. Wear comfortable clothes. Reiki is given through gentle touch or simply holding the hands over the body.

Make sure to choose Inland Valley Council of Churches (we’ve not switched the name on that system yet).

In November and December 2009, Inland valley Hope Partner’s four food pantries served over 6,000 people EACH MONTH! What an amazing accomplishment, thank you to all the volunteers and donors who make this possible. If you have extra time or money, please give as you can.

If you wish to give, simply put a check in the offering plate or mail one to the Church Office and mark “Haitian Relief” on your check. You can make it out to the church. Our Finance team will make sure it gets to the proper place – we will cash your check and then pool all our gifts together into one bulk check so you don’t have to wait for it to be mailed and cashed, which can sometimes take a while.
