The Organizing Team of First Christian Church Pomona invites you to hear and see the Housing Vision we are proposing for the City of Pomona in collaboration with the Mayor and other city leaders. We know the housing crisis is a regional challenge. This Vision comes out of 3 years of hard work with other leaders in the Inland Community Organizing Network and is possibly a template for use in the region. Likewise, we are taking pages from other communities dealing more effectively with this humanitarian crisis. FCC Pomona values the spiritual practice of Christian Hospitality, living it out in a myriad of ways. It makes sense for our community of faith to be part of this work. Learn about the vision and ways you can help bring it about. A light lunch will be served after worship, a brief presentation will be made and we will have conversation about what is being proposed: the values and priorities, even some specific actions. The Elders, who already have a meeting scheduled that day, are encouraged to join for lunch and the presentation before gathering in the Conference Room for their important learning and conversation around Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence.
