“What I Learned at National Training”

2024-03-28 11:00 2024-03-28 11:30 America/Los_Angeles “What I Learned at National Training”

National Training is where leaders of ICON (Inland Communities Organizing Network) and other sister organizations go to learn the practices of building community through organizing. MJ Neault was sponsored by our congregation to attend this last summer in order to assist the pastors and Core Team in our efforts to build community within the church, with other member institutions of ICON, and among the community at large. Ms. Neault will lead three brief sessions on relational practices used in organizing after worship on Sunday, November 6, 20, and 27. This will be an opportunity for us to also engage in the practices with each other, like talking to one another and learning each other’s stories. We may do these things informally, but the conversations in which MJ will guide us will be more intentional, with a purpose and possibility of a next step. Each session will last approximately 20 minutes. Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP by calling or emailing the Church Office (909-622-1144; fcc@fccpomona.org).
