Caring for Ourselves and Others in the Chaos
From 2:00 pm to 3:00 pmThe year 2020 has been a challenging year for us. COVID-19 has changed how we socialize and interact with people; in some cases, it has divided families. Social unrest is challenging us to face injustices that we have ignored for years. On top of that, we have fires that are burning in our back yards. As Christians how do we find God in this chaos? How do we experience God’s love and love for our neighbors? We can learn together practical ways to rely on God and our own internal resources so that we can engage with other people with kindness, even in the chaos. Victor Luna, a social worker who is currently serving as our ministry intern, is leading a workshop on Saturday, October 3rd at 2 pm to guide participants in this conversation of learning. Register by calling or emailing the church office: (909) 622-1133; fcc@fccpomona.org. You will be sent a Zoom link for the workshop.
