Crash Course Religions Class
From 11:15 am to 12:15 pmEver wanted to discuss some of the deep (and not so deep) ideas of theology after watching a slightly nervous and incredibly sincere individual give a 12-minute overview of a theological concept or religious group? We’ve got you covered. This Epiphany season, David Fronk will be leading a short 4-week class covering 4 episodes of Crash Course Religion. These episodes include: “What even IS a religion?” “How many religions are there?” “What’s the difference between cults and religion?” “What’s the difference between religion and magic?” The class will meet on Sundays beginning Jan. 26th after church and involve watching a roughly 12-minute episode together, discussing our thoughts on the theological ideas raised, and reading one of the primary texts used in making the episode. The episodes and discussion are inclusive to all levels. Whether you’re a religious scholar or want to take a first step into exploring theology, you are welcome and encouraged to join, share, and listen. If you’re still not sure, feel free to take a look at a short preview of Crash Course Religion to see if it’s something that sparks your interest: https://youtu.be/O77IFewBxcg?si=7pVFaQqKCxZz6gUd Please RSVP by calling (909-622-1144) or emailing the Church Office.
