Día de los Muertos at the CDC
From 5:30 pm to 6:30 pmAs the year winds down, the seasons change, and we reflect on the people who’ve made our lives richer, we invite all to participate in this traditional day of remembrance hosted by the Child Development Center (CDC)! CDC Director, Hilda Koorn, is assembling ofrendas (altars) for CDC families, staff, and FCC church members who’d like to participate! The ofrendas will be set up in the Narthex of the church (the part between the entry and the sanctuary). There are multiple ways to participate in this special event: Photos of deceased loved ones can be emailed to the CDC to be included in the display. Please specify that this is for Día de los Muertos. You are welcome to create your own ofrendas to be displayed alongside your loved ones’ photos! Please reach out to the CDC to coordinate this. You can come as a guest to simply learn, reflect, and be in community! Appetizers will be served, and traditional costumes are welcome. FCC Pomona will be observing our own day of remembrance during our All Saints’ Sunday service on Sunday, November 2 at 10a.
