The figure of Jesus Christ has been a muse for generations of artists, sculptors, and poets. With newer mediums come a fresh perspective on the life of Jesus. The art of film has been a platform for messages to reach people all around the world, but what message is being told about the life of Christ through cinema? Is he a rock star? A lover? An enemy? Led by our ministry intern, Beth, Jesus Christ: Movie Star will explore these questions and more by taking a look at Jesus-centric media with a critical lens (pun intended). At the end of the series, we will have a viewing of Jesus Christ: Superstar. Feel free to join one, two, or all three classes, and the movie showing…or for just the movie!
