Maundy Thursday Service

2021-04-01 19:00 2021-04-01 20:00 America/Los_Angeles Maundy Thursday Service

Worship will be on Facebook LIVE from the PARKING LOT. You can participate from home or join the in-person group at church. “What can I expect if I come to church?” A mostly empty parking lot, a place to park away from the sitting area, and designated areas for sitting. You can bring your own folding chair(s) or use one provided by the church. Everyone will be masked. Regardless if you’ve had Covid-19 or have been vaccinated, the Dept. of Public Health and CDC urge us to double mask because even some of these can still be vectors. Everyone is precious, so let us protect each other. You must stay at least 8-10 feet apart from people not in your household (Q: Wait, isn’t it 6 feet? A: Only when you are not singing). There are plans for some singing, and even when done outside, the CDC strongly urges increased distance. While there will be disposable communion kits available, you are encouraged to bring a small loaf of uncut bread, a large cracker, a roll, etc. and your own juice to pour in a chalice, cup, etc. Whether from home or the parking lot, you will be invited join in the actual breaking of the bread and lifting of the cup as we commemorate the last supper of Jesus with his friends. If you are coming to the church, please arrive no later than 6:45.
