Pressures on Families Conversation

2023-09-24 11:15 2023-09-24 12:30 America/Los_Angeles Pressures on Families Conversation

A family can be any configuration of a person or people who make up a household. All of us are part of a family. Everyone experiences pressures. Some people don’t want to talk about the problems they face; some figure there’s nothing they can do. Being in conversation about the pressures and difficulties we are facing requires a level of vulnerability that many of us are not willing to engage. However, when we begin to listen to the stories of people we know who are facing similar challenges, we can find strength and hope. We can also begin imagining what we can do together to tackle those challenges. Khalid Hudson, our lead organizer for Inland Communities Organizing Network (ICON), is leading this conversation on Sunday, Sept. 24th after worship in the Fellowship Hall. If you would like to be part of this conversation, please let one of the pastors, Julie or Mike, know you would like to attend.
